Incoming Product and Specification Guidelines

Composition Analysis:

  • Mixed #1 through #7 plastics 
  • Un-numbered plastic and rubber
  • No containers full of liquids
  • Each truck load shall have no more than 10% by weight contaminant.
  • Hazardous wastes are not allowed as a contaminant. 

Hazardous Wastes: No hazardous wastes are allowed. Any load containing any hazardous or toxic substance as defined by applicable Federal or State regulations, or any medical wastes, including syringes may be rejected in whole or in part by Polyflow. Circuit boards are considered a hazardous waste. Hazardous wastes are not allowed as a contaminant.

Contaminants include:

A. Food debris
B. metal
C. glass
D. paper
E. cardboard
F. ceramic
G. wood
H. tires*
I. carpet*
J. siding, plumbing and other demolition debris*
K. e-waste*
L. any other non-polymeric materials

NOTES:

  • Loads containing large contaminant items (including, but not limited to boards, appliances, stones, bricks) are not acceptable and will be rejected by Polyflow.
  • Loads containing items that may injure Polyflow’s employees or damage Polyflow’s equipment or facilities are not acceptable and will be rejected.
  • *While the Polyflow process accepts these recyclable materials, they are not included as acceptable materials under this specification. These materials must be segregated and supplied to Polyflow under the respective specifications.
